Where lorem ipsum comes from
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin based on “De finibus bonorum et malorum”, written by Cicero in 45 BC. Typesetters have used versions of it as dummy text for centuries because it has a natural mix of short and long words but carries no meaning that distracts from the design.
This generator builds sentences of 6 to 14 words and paragraphs of 3 to 6 sentences from the traditional vocabulary, with an occasional comma, so the text looks like real prose. New variations use your browser's cryptographic random generator. The text is marked as Latin so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
Remember to replace placeholder text before publishing: search engines may see lorem ipsum as low-quality or unfinished content, and visitors may think the page isn't ready.
